 Dear Parents,

 We’ve had a great start in the New Year and all the kids are settled back in!!

 NO MDO THURSDAY AND FRIDAY FEBRUARY 2^ND AND 3^RD.  TEACHERS WILL BE ATTENDING REQUIRED WORKSHOPS!

 VALENTINE PARTIES will be on Thursday and Friday, Feb 9 & 10.   Children in all classes will exchange valentines.  Volunteers will be needed to provide goodies for each class.  (Cookies, Jell-O jigglers, muffins, donut holes, etc. NO CUP CAKES PLEASE!!)  Look for the sign up sheets outside each classroom.

 FALL 2012 REGISTRATION!!!!  It’s that time again.  Registration for next fall will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 7th for families already enrolled in the program and church members.  A $75.00 registration fee per child, per program, will be due upon registration.  Tuition for next fall will be a flat monthly fee, 1 child 2 days 173.00; 1 child 4 days 345.00; 2 children 2 days 285.00; 2 children 4 days 570.00; 3 children 2 days 375.00; 3 children 4 days 750.00. Our two MDO programs are Tuesday and Thursday OR Wednesday and Friday.  Children may come all four days, but no three-day program is offered.

 Children currently on our waiting list will be able to register for next fall on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 10 am in the narthex.  If you know any of these families, please pass this information on to them!

   Community registration will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 21st at 8:30 am in our gymnasium.

  MDO WILL HAVE EARLY RELEASE ON WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 29TH AT NOON!!  (THIS IS A PISD SCHEDULED EARLY RELEASE)

REMINDERS:

•  When picking up your child, we ask that you turn your cell phones off or leave them in the car.  The teachers and your child need your full attention at the end of each day to communicate any issues they may have had.

• Only one parent at the door in the afternoon at pickup time.  Please wait in line to receive your children.  This has become a safety issue, sometimes children see their parents at the crowded door and run out, leaving the teachers unaware that one of their students has been picked up.

• The yellow daily evaluation forms that are sent home at the end of each day are a way of keeping you informed and involved of your child’s daily activities.  If your child has had an off day, (and we ALL have those days!) keep in mind that the situation or concern was handled at school by the teacher.  Take this opportunity to remind your child about appropriate behavior, but further punishment is not needed, as this may confuse your child. Thank You!

•  Please remember to send your child with a jacket or sweater!

•  Please do NOT bring your child to school if they are running a fever, coughing or have heavy drainage due to illness.

• Remember that we do charge a late fee of $1.00 per child/per room/per minute after 2:00. This fee is payable directly to your child’s teacher.

•  We have had many concerns about people driving too fast in the parking lot. Please slow down and watch out for our children. Please do not leave small children in the car while dropping off siblings. Your child’s safety is very important to us.
